About Metro Judo club
METRO Judo Club is a local community based club, located at a state of the art dojo in Greenwich. The club was founded in 1977 and has a wealth of experience, none more so than the senior coach, Mick Murphy. Supported by other coaches the club have produced two Olympians, Vicki Dunn (Sydney 2000) and most recently Gemma Gibbons (-78kg) London 2012 Silver medallist.
Come and join in the Judo Fun and get Judo fit.

TOTS 4-7 YEARS 17:30-18:30
PRIMARY JUNIORS: 18:45-20:00
SECONDARY JUNIOR/SENIOR: 20:00-21:30
The Metro Judo Club, is Affiliated to the British Judo Association, which is the Governing body, for the sport of Judo, in Great Britain, and is affiliated to the British Olympic Association.

METRO was recently awarded the prestigious Queens Award for Volunteer Service
A management committee oversees the club, and it is run by a team of Volunteer coaches /Welfare officer/Young Volunteers/Youth Worker.
All coaches/Welfare officers have:
Up to-date, British Judo Association Licence and Coaching awards
Up to-date, British Judo Association, Welfare Officer training
Up to-date, Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS)
Up to-date, Safe Guarding Certificate
Up to-date First Aid Certificate
All Coaching Awards and Certificates, are renewed every 3 years
